Shakespeare Meets Scholars of Colour (Channel No: 02)
Shakespearean dramas have always been a treasure trove for scholastic research. His vast world still warrants more exploration and this is where part two of our podcast series “Shakespeare Meets Scholars of Colour” comes in. This series engages in a scholastic discussion of Shakespearean plays covering a diverse range of subjects. Apart from initiating ethical and philosophical discussions, each title brings something new to the table. The studies problematise ways of looking at Shakespeare’s dramatic world, his ecopoetics, adaptations, and digitization. Postmodern scholars of colour initiate new debates on overshadowed perspectives of ethics, racism, feminism, and femicide within Shakespeare’s expansive dramaturgy. This digital platform provides an expansive space to lose ourselves in the exotic world of Shakespeare. We invite you to join us in this scholarly venture and relish in the nuanced and spellbinding Shakespearean milieu.
